What is the place of Haredim in Israel? Is the status quo sustainable? If not, how should it change? On February 27th Makom presented “Haredim and the Jewish Collective” for the Global Jewish Forum of the Jewish Agency. Here you can find much of the thinking, materials, planning, and videos …

The way in which the debate about Israel’s Jewish and Democratic future has been reduced to a fight between two sides of a book is nothing less than an intellectual and moral disgrace. As Makom gears up for our Global Jewish Forum on Liberalism and Zionism, we hope to offer an approach that is deeper than a boxing match.

The photo almost looks like it was born for a captions competition, doesn’t it? A thought-bubble from the young Haredi’s head might read, “Now where did I put that rock?” or the woman might be thinking, “Jeez, living in photoshop is so radical!”

Now that Shaul Mofaz has led Kadima into the coalition, what will become of his commitments to the Social Justice protests?
