Project TEN – Jewish Service Learning Curriculum
This curriculum was designed to facilitate a meaningful encounter between young Jewish adults from all over the world while they volunteer in vulnerable communities. Developed especially for Project TEN, the materials touch on the heart of the volunteer experience, meeting young adults where they are and challenging them to become change agents beyond the Project TEN experience.
The Project TEN curriculum is comprised of 3 parallel tracks:
- Justice and Responsibility, the central track, explores key themes related to social justice work, social responsibility, sustainable development, and leadership.
- Shabbat, a 6-session supplement for Shabbat, exploring equality, sustainability, and covenant, and how these values play into our lives in the 21st Century.
- “To Be a Free People in One’s Land”, a 6-session supplement on Israel and the notion of homeland and sovereignty as it relates to social justice and the developing world.
