We will begin this session with a framing conversation about why people move, then turn to some hard numbers that will lay a foundation for the rest of the conversation.

Then, we will concentrate on the experience of Ethiopian Jewry as a case study through which to raise some of the issues of uprooting and homecoming; issues of the dilemmas and responsibilities of both newcomers and veteran Israelis.
