MAKOM’s Think Practice Tank (TPT)
12-13 June 2008/ט-י בסיון תשס"ח
Our TPT focuses on the places where adult education and Israel education meet. A diverse group of thoughtful, reflective educators from across the North America bring their shared knowledge from the academy and from the field; to think about the unique features of adult education and the complex nature of Israel education today. Through learning together, considering current practices and trends, our aim is to enrich our thinking and sharpen our practice, and its impact in our various teaching arenas.
MAKOM Lab Directors Network Meeting
16-17 June 2008/יג-יד בסיון תשס"ח
MAKOM community labs create settings for re-imagining the place of Israel in community life. Working around clusters of communal institutions and organizations, the lab process provides a way for community leaders, educators, and professionals to analyze the place of Israel as it is, and as it ought to be, and how to build the strategies for moving Israel engagement from the "is" to the "ought to be". MAKOM Lab directors from across North America are meeting to share their ongoing communal work, and to reflect with each other upon successes and challenges of Israel engagement initiatives to date. From this sharing, we will craft methods that enable collaboration among communities through the building of a Community (ies) of Practice.
